Girl's Volleyball League
Play Hard! Pray Hard! Have Fun!
League information:
- Open to girls grades 4-8. Teams will be 4th and 5th combined, 6th grade and 7th and 8th combined.
- There is one practice per week
- Maximum of 10 players per team
- League partnership with Memorial Drive Presbyterian, St. Francis, Duschene, John Paul II, and Chapelwood UMC.
- Teams are formed after the close of registration. Team rosters will be distributed at the coaches meeting.
- Players will be contacted by their coaches or a team representative prior to 3/8/10 regarding practices. The Recreation Ministry staff will not give out roster information.
- A player may not be a member of, or participant of, a travel team for a club volleyball team.
This is am instructional league intended to be fun and nurturing, encouraging a positive self-image, sportsmanship and teamwork for all players. Fundamental skills will be taught including serving, setting, and bumping. A devotional will be given at each practice and all players are expected to participate.
Games will be held on Saturdays or Sundays from March 27-May 16 at area churches.
Players will receive a game jersey, participation award, and team and individual pictures.
Costs: $100 per player. There is a $20 late fee after February 21st and a $40 fee for all refunds after March 1st.
Practices: Start the week on March 8th
First game: March 27 or 28, 2010
Last game: May 15 or 16, 2010
